How Zionism Manages To Get Away With Their Myths And Lies

Posted on by Steve Apple

by Gilad Atzmon
In his new book, “The Invention Of The Land of Israel”, Israeli academic Shlomo Sand, manages to present conclusive evidence of the far fetched nature of the Zionist historical narrative – that the Jewish Exile is a myth as is the Jewish people and even the Land of Israel.

Yet, Sand and many others fail to address the most important question: If Zionism is based on myth, how do the Zionists manage to get away with their lies, and for so long?

If the Jewish ‘homecoming’ and the demand for a Jewish national homeland cannot be historically substantiated, why has it been supported by both Jews and the West for so long? How does the Jewish state manage for so long to celebrate its racist expansionist ideology and at the expense of the Palestinian and Arab peoples?

Jewish power is obviously one answer, but, what is Jewish power? Can we ask this question without being accused of being Anti Semitic? Can we ever discuss its meaning and scrutinize its politics? Is Jewish Power a dark force, managed and maneuvered by some conspiratorial power? Is it something of which Jews themselves are shy? Quite the opposite – Jewish power, in most cases, is celebrated right in front of our eyes. As we know, AIPAC is far from being quiet about its agenda, its practices or its achievements. AIPAC, CFI in the UK and CRIF in France are operating in the most open manner and often openly brag about their success.

Furthermore, we are by now accustomed to watch our democratically elected leaders shamelessly queuing to kneel before their pay-masters. Neocons certainly didn’t seem to feel the need to hide their close Zionist affiliations. Abe Foxman’s Anti Defamation League (ADL) works openly towards the Judification of the Western discourse, chasing and harassing anyone who dares voice any kind of criticism of Israel or even of Jewish choseness. And of course, the same applies to the media, banking and Hollywood. We know about the many powerful Jews who are not in the slightest bit shy about their bond with Israel and their commitment to Israeli security, the Zionist ideology, the primacy of Jewish suffering, Israeli expansionism and even outright Jewish exceptionalism.

But, as ubiquitous as they are, AIPAC, CFI, ADL, Bernie Madoff, ‘liberator’ Bernard Henri Levy, war-advocate David Aaronovitch, free market prophet Milton Friedman, Steven Spielberg, Haim Saban, Lord Levy and many other Zionist enthusiasts and Hasbara advocates are not necessarily the core or the driving force behind Jewish Power, but are merely symptoms. Jewish power is actually far more sophisticated than simply a list of Jewish lobbies or individuals performing highly developed manipulative skills. Jewish power is the unique capacity to stop us from discussing or even contemplating Jewish power. It is the capacity to determine the boundaries of the political discourse and criticism in particular.

Contrary to popular belief, it is not ‘right wing’ Zionists who facilitate Jewish power, It is actually the ‘good’, the ‘enlightened’ and the ‘progressive’ who make Jewish power the most effective and forceful power in the land. It is the ‘progressives’ who confound our ability to identify the Judeocentric tribal politics at the heart of Neoconservatism, American contemporary imperialism and foreign policy. It is the so-called ‘anti’ Zionist who goes out of his or her way to divert our attention from the fact that Israel defines itself as the Jewish State and blinds us to the fact that its tanks are decorated with Jewish symbols. It was the Jewish Left intellectuals who rushed to denounce Professors Mearsheimer and Walt, Jeff Blankfort and James Petras’ work on the Jewish Lobby. And it is no secret that Occupy AIPAC, the campaign against the most dangerous political Lobby in America, is dominated by a few righteous members of the chosen tribe. We need to face up to the fact that our dissident voice is far from being free. Quite the opposite, we are dealing here with an institutional case of controlled opposition.

Emmanuel Goldstein is a character in George Orwell’s classic dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. He is the number one enemy of the state according to the Party.

In George Orwell’s 1984, it is perhaps Emmanuel Goldsteinwho is the pivotal character. Orwell’s Goldstein is a Jewish revolutionary, a fictional Leon Trotsky. He is depicted as the head of a mysterious anti-party organization called “The Brotherhood” and is also the author of the most subversive revolutionary text (The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism). Goldstein is the ‘dissenting voice’, the one who actually tells the truth. Yet, as we delve into Orwell’s text, we find out from Party’s ‘Inner Circle’ O’Brien that Goldstein was actually invented by Big Brother in a clear attempt to control the opposition and the possible boundaries of dissidence.

Orwell’s personal account of the Spanish Civil War “Homage To Catalonia” clearly presaged the creation of Emmanuel Goldstein. It was what Orwell witnessed in Spain that, a decade later, matured into a profound understanding of dissent as a form of controlled opposition. My guess is that, by the late 1940’s, Orwell had understood the depth of intolerance, and tyrannical and conspiratorial tendencies that lay at the heart of ‘Big Brother-ish’ Left politics and praxis.

Surprisingly enough, an attempt to examine our contemporaneous controlled opposition within the Left and the Progressive reveal that it is far from being a conspiratorial. Like in the case of the Jewish Lobby, the so-called ‘opposition’ hardly attempts to disguise its ethno-centric tribal interests, spiritual and ideological orientation and affiliation.

A brief examination of the list of organizations founded by George Soros’ Open Society Institute (OSI) presents a grim picture – pretty much the entire American progressive network is funded, partially or largely by a liberal Zionist, philanthropic billionaire who supports very many good and important causes that are also very good for the Jews. And yet, like staunch Zionist Haim Saban, Soros does not operate clandestinely. His Open Society Institute proudly provides all the necessary information regarding the vast amount of shekels it spreads on its good and important causes.
So one can’t accuse Soros or the Open Society Institute of any sinister vetting the political discourse, stifling of free speech or even to ‘controlling the opposition’. All Soros does is to support a wide variety of ‘humanitarian causes’: Human Rights, Women’s Rights. Gay Rights, equality, democracy, Arab ‘Spring’, Arab Winter, the oppressed, the oppressor, tolerance, intolerance, Palestine, Israel, anti war, pro-war (only when really needed), and so on.

As with Orwell’s Big Brother that frames the boundaries of dissent by means of control opposition, Soros’ Open Society also determines, either consciously or unconsciously, the limits of critical thought. Yet, unlike in 1984, where it is the Party that invents its own opposition and write its texts, within our ‘progressive’ discourse, it is our own voices of dissent, willingly and consciously, that are compromising their principles.

Soros may have read Orwell – he clearly believes his message – because from time to time he even supports opposing forces. For instance, he funds the Zionist-lite J Street as well as Palestinian NGO organizations. And guess what? It never takes long for the Palestinian beneficiaries to, compromise their own, most precious principles so they fit nicely into their paymaster’s worldview.

The Visible Hand

The invisible hand of the market is a metaphor coined by Adam Smith to describe the self-regulating behavior of the marketplace. In contemporary politics. The visible hand is a similar metaphor which describes the self-regulating tendency of the political-fund beneficiary, to fully integrate the world view of its benefactor into its political agenda.

Democracy Now, the most important American dissident outlet has never discussed the Jewish Lobby with Mearsheimer, Walt, Petras or Blankfort – the four leading experts who could have informed the American people about the USA’s foreign policy domination by the Jewish Lobby. For the same reasons, Democracy Now wouldn’t explore the Neocon’s Judeo-centric agenda nor would it ever discuss Jewish Identity politics with yours truly. Democracy Now will host Noam Chomsky or Norman Finkelstein, it may even let Finkelstein chew up Zionist caricature Alan Dershowitz — all very good, but not good enough.

Is the fact that Democracy Now is heavily funded by Soros relevant? I’ll let you judge.
If I’m correct (and I think I am) we have a serious problem here. As things stand, it is actually the progressive discourse, or at least large part of it. that sustains Jewish Power. If this is indeed the case, and I am convinced it is, then the occupied progressive discourse, rather than Zionism, is the primary obstacle that must be confronted.

It is no coincidence that the ‘progressive’ take on ‘antisemitism’ is suspiciously similar to the Zionist one. Like Zionists, many progressive institutes and activists adhere to the bizarre suggestion that opposition to Jewish power is ‘racially motivated’ and embedded in some ‘reactionary’ Goyish tendency. Consequently, Zionists are often supported by some ‘progressives’ in their crusade against critics of Israel and Jewish power. Is this peculiar alliance between these allegedly opposing schools of thoughts, the outcome of a possible ideological continuum between these two seemingly opposed political ideologies? Maybe, after all, progressiveness like Zionism is driven by a peculiar inclination towards ‘choseness’. After all, being progressive somehow implies that someone else must be ‘reactionary’. It is those self-centric elements of exceptionalism and choseness that have made progressiveness so attractive to secular and emancipated Jews. But the main reason the ‘progressive’ adopted the Zionist take on antisemitism, may well be because of the work of that visible hand that miraculously shapes the progressive take on race, racism and the primacy of Jewish suffering.
We may have to face up to the fact that the progressive discourse effectively operates as Israel’s longest arm – it certainly acts as a gatekeeper and as protection for Zionism and Jewish tribal interests. If Israel and its supporters would ever be confronted with real opposition it might lead to some long-overdue self-reflection. But at the moment, Israel and Zionist lobbies meet only insipid, watered-down, progressively-vetted resistance that, in practice, sustains Israeli occupation,
oppression and an endless list of human rights abuses.

They Dare to Speak Out — by Congressman Paul Findley. This is the first book to dare to speak out against the pervasive influence of AIPAC (The America-Israeli Public Affairs Committee)
Instead of mass opposition to the Jewish State and its aggressive lobby, our ‘resistance’ is reduced into a chain of badge-wearing, keffiyeh-clad, placard-waving mini-gatherings with the occasional tantrum from some neurotic Jewess while being videoed by another good Jew. If anyone believes that a few badges, a load of amateur Youtube clips celebrating Jewish righteousness are going to evolve into a mass anti-Israel global movement, they are either naïve or stupid.

In fact, a recent Gallup poll revealed that current Americans’ sympathy for Israel has reached an All-Time High. 64% of Americans sympathise with the Jewish State, while only 12% feel for the Palestinians. This is no surprise and our conclusion should be clear. As far as Palestine is concerned, ‘progressive’ ideology and praxis have led us precisely nowhere. Rather than advance the Palestinian cause, it only locates the ‘good’ Jew at the centre of the solidarity discourse.

When was the last time a Palestinian freedom fighter appeared on your TV screen? Twenty years ago the Palestinian were set to become the new Che Guevaras. Okay, so the Palestinian freedom fighter didn’t necessarily speak perfect English and wasn’t a graduate of an English public school, but he was free, authentic and determined. He or she spoke about their land being taken and of their willingness to give what it takes to get it back. But now, the Palestinian has been ‘saved’, he or she doesn’t have to fight for his or her their land, the ‘progressive’ is taking care of it all.

This ‘progressive’ voice speaks on behalf of the Palestinian and, at the same time, takes the opportunity to also push marginal politics, fight ‘Islamism’ and ‘religious radicalisation’ and occasionally even supports the odd interventionist war and, of course, always, always, always fights antisemitism. The controlled opposition has turned the Palestinian plight into just one more ‘progressive’ commodity, lying on the back shelf of its ever-growing ‘good-cause’ campaign store.

For the Jewish progressive discourse, the purpose behind pro-Palestinian support is clear. It is to present an impression of pluralism within the Jewish community. It is there to suggest that not all Jews are bad Zionists. Philip Weiss, the founder of the most popular progressive pro-Palestinian blog was even brave enough to admit to me that it is Jewish self -interests that stood at the core of his pro Palestinian activity.

Jewish self-love is a fascinating topic. But even more fascinating is Jewish progressives loving themselves at the expense of the Palestinians. With billionaires such as Soros maintaining the discourse, solidarity is now an industry, concerned with profit and power rather than ethics or values and it is a spectacle both amusing and tragic as the Palestinians become a side issue within their own solidarity discourse.

So, perhaps before we discuss the ‘liberation of Palestine’, we first may have to liberate ourselves.

Bush's Legacy of Atrocities Is Nowhere to Be Seen at His New Library -- and the Local Paper Won't Even Run One Ad That Tells the Truth

Kill a few, they call you a murderer. Kill tens of thousands, they give you $500 million for a granite vanity project and a glossy 30-page newspaper supplement.

George W. Bush presided over an international network of torture chambers and, with the help of a compliant Congress and press, launched a war of aggression that killed hundreds of thousands of men, women and children. However, instead of the bloody details of his time in office being recounted at a war crimes tribunal, the former president has been able to bank on his imperial privilege – and a network of rich corporate donors that he made richer while in office – to tell his version of history at a library in Texas being opened in his name.

Kill a few, they call you a murderer. Kill tens of thousands, they give you $500 million for a granite vanity project and a glossy 30-page supplement in the local paper.

Before getting into that, some facts. According to the US government, more than 100,000 people died following the 2003 invasion of Iraq; of that number, 4,486 were members of the US military. Other estimates place the figure at closer to one million deaths as a result of Bush's defining act in office: an aggressive war waged against a non-threat and which even some of his own advisers admit was illegal. So far, the wars started by Bush and continued by his heir, Barack Obama, have cost upwards of $3.1 trillion. That's money that could have been spent saving lives and building things, not ending and destroying them.

But that's not going to be the narrative at the George W. Bush Presidential Library, opening this week in Dallas, Texas. No, that's going to be: 9/11, 9/11, 9/11 (see also: 9/11).

Called the “Day of Fire,” a main attraction at the new library will be a display on the events of September 11, 2001, where “video images from the attacks flash around a twisted metal beam recovered from the wreckage of the World Trade Center,” according to the Associated Press.

“It's very emotional and very profound,” Bush explained in an interview. “One of the reasons it has to be is because memories are fading rapidly and the profound impact of that attack is becoming dim with time.” That is to say, the former president has a keen interest in fanning the embers of outrage over the killing of nearly 3,000 Americans more than a decade ago lest the world view him poorly for the dozens of 9/11s he perpetrated not just on Iraq, but Afghanistan. Never forget the harm done to us or you just might remember the harm we inflicted on others.

The corporate media doesn't want you to remember those depressing and damning details either. In a supplement that reads as a paid advertisement, The Dallas Morning News calls Bush's new library, “A place to learn,” reporting that the former president hopes the “evenhanded treatment” of his legacy “helps satisfy visitors' intellectual curiosity.” That piece is followed by a silky soft interview with the former first lady, Laura Bush, and an editorial that states that her husband “stands out as a leader whose convictions guided him.”

The latter piece, penned by columnist William McKenzie, recounts the author's dreamy encounter with a young George W. Bush on the campaign trail. There's no critical examination of his legacy here, but awe-struck details of man who “welcomed debate and nodded to my points.”
“When I met him, I certainly didn't think I would one day walk up to his presidential library,” McKenzie tells us. “But the day I did, I felt a sense of pride for him.” (“Maybe journalists shouldn't feel that way,” he sheepishly adds. “But that was my reaction after many years of watching him emerge as a leader.”)

The president's mass murdering? But a footnote. All the Dallas Morning Newssays is that, “The success or failure of his Iraq plan will take historians years to figure out.” Perhaps the papers editors should speak to an Iraqi. Or, if they're not interested in journalism, perhaps they should just let CODEPINK take responsibility for informing its readers.

Unfortunately, when CODEPINKtried to do just that by way of an ad highlighting Bush's real legacy – rivers of blood flooded by a war based on lies – the Dallas Morning News rejected it. Pressed as to why, the paper cited vague “advertising guidelines,” asking us to remove a graphic of a blood splotch and to include “sourced facts and how they prove the 'lie'” of the Bush-approved official history (none of the facts cited in the ad are disputed by the US government). One wishes corporate advertisers were subject to such scrutiny.

Click to see the full-size ad:

Meanwhile, despite the former president's stated commitment to a “Freedom Agenda,” those who dissent from the rosy take on Bush's time in office face exclusion from the ostensibly free corporate press and petty harassment from the state. On Monday, a dozen activists with CODEPINK and Veterans for Peace were issued “first warnings that they were not allowed to stand on the sidewalk” on the campus of Southern Methodist University, the school where the library is based. Salam Talib, an Iraqi who was to speak at a press conference in Dallas about the violence Bush brought to his country – maybe the Dallas Morning News would have sent a reporter? – was detained by airport security in San Francisco just long enough that he missed his flight (and the press conference).

Bush's legacy is reflected not in his library, but in the regular bombings that rock Baghdad, killing dozens at a time. The Connecticut blue blood turned straight talkin' Texan is of course welcome to tell his side of the story. That's only fair. But let him do it at the Hague.

10 years after the war, Innocent New Lives are Still Dying and Suffering In Iraq. Human Rights NGO publish the Report of a Fact Finding Mission on Congenital Birth Defects in Fallujah, Iraq in 2013

Immediate Release

10 years after the war, Innocent New Lives are Still Dying and Suffering In Iraq.
Human Rights NGO publish the Report of a Fact Finding Mission on Congenital Birth Defects in Fallujah, Iraq in 2013

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Iraq War. After the war, particularly in the most recent few years, a deeply troubling rise in the numbers of birth defects has been reported by doctors in Iraq, leading to suspicions that environmental contamination from the war may be having a significant negative effect on the health of local people, and in particular infants and children. For instance in Fallujah, the city heavily attacked by the US twice in 2004, the data of Fallujah General Hospital shows that around 15% of babies of all births in Fallujah since 2003 have some congenital birth defect.

Human Rights Now (HRN), a Tokyo based international human rights NGO in consultative status with the UNEconomic and Social Council, conducted a fact-finding mission in Fallujah, Iraq in early 2013 to investigate thesituation of the reported increasing number of birth defects in Iraq.
Today, HRN published a report over 50 pages entitled "Innocent New Lives are Still Dying and Suffering in Iraq" on this investigation.
Full Report:
Iraq Report April 2013.pdf
Appendix:
Appendix1 Iraq.pdf

Appendix2 Iraq.pdf

This is the first investigation conducted by an international human rights NGO on the congenital birth defect issue in Iraq since 2003. Despite the gravity of the situation, there has not been a sufficient investigation of the health consequences associated with toxic munitions in Iraq by the US, UK or any independent international organization such as a UN body.

Through one month period's extensive investigation, the fact finding team has found an extraordinary situation of congenital birth defects in both nature and quantity. The investigation suggested a significant rise in these health consequences in the period following the war, and HRN found that the rights to health and life of children have been seriously violated in Fallujah, Iraq, and that the epidemic of congenital birth defects in Iraq needs immediate international attention.

The report discloses documentation and photos of over 70 cases of recent birth defects in Fallujah, with the permission of the hospital and the families.  "Although the disclosure of such incidents is an extremely sensitive issue, the families and especially the mothers expressed a strong desire to share their cases in order to highlight the birth defect situation in Iraq. We sincerely hope many people in the world, especially the states concerned as well as relevant international institutions,  know the gravity of the victimization.", Kazuko Ito, Secretary General of Human Rights Now stated.

An overview of scientific literature relating to the effects of uranium and heavy metals associated with munitions used in the 2003 Iraq War and occupation, together with potential exposure pathways, strongly suggest that environmental contamination resulting from combat during the Iraq War may be playing a significant role in the observed rate of birth defects. However, without sufficient disclosure of information related to toxic weapons used during the conflict, the cause of problem has not yet been identified.

In order to prevent further victimization of the lives of innocent children, it is urgent that a comprehensiveinvestigation into the prevalence of birth defects and toxicity related illnesses in Iraq be conducted, including any correlation between such illnesses to scrap or munitions debris left by the Iraq conflict.  It is essential to investigatethe sources and spread of birth defects, identify causes, establish effective public health policies and medical care, and provide appropriate compensation for victims.

Human Rights Now therefore calls on the US and UK governments to disclose all information regarding the types of weapons used during the occupation, quantities fired, and exact firing points, and to take necessary measures to protect the right to health and life of the local people if a pollution problem is indicated.

Furthermore, HRN calls on the Iraqi government to establish an independent commission into investigating serious health problems reported after the war, and the UN Human Rights Council to establish measures for the investigation of all human rights abuses committed during the war, including the use of inhumane and toxic weapons. The outcomes of the WHO investigation into the birth defect issue in Iraq has yet to be publically released, but in the event of a public health issue being identified, HRN additionally urges the WHO to provide technical assistance and guidance in creating policies and measures to tackle the issue, as well as to consider conducting further investigations to try to better clarify the epidemiological nature of the phenomenon.

A Very Bad Day for Al-Qaeda FSA Terrorists in Syria

Today, 28 April 2013 was not a good day for NATO’s best asset the Wahhabi Sex Jihadists in Syria, all over the country. What’s known as FSA, or in reality Al-Qaeda Levant aka Jabhat Al-Nusra, saw heavy defeats in many enclaves in several locations, and here are the details:

Idleb Countryside: Syrian Arab Army delivered direct strikes to concentrations of Al-Qaeda FSA terrorists in Adnaniyeh, Taibat, Haftlek Zardna, Marat Misreen, Nairab, Der Zoghb, Talhieh & Tal Denet scoring high in killed and injured terrorists.

Daraa Countryside: 9 cars some of which were mounted with machine guns were destroyed in Shomarah village in Allujat area. SAA destroyed a depot for munition and IEDs in the same area, among the killed terrorists one name was picked Khaled Tarkeh, who used to be an IED specialist before rendered nil by the SAA. Jordan recently started playing in the open and joined the anti-Syria camp, stupidly, allowing thousands of terrorists into southern Syria through the very long borders between the two countries.
Jordan 1024x668 A Very Bad Day for Al Qaeda FSA Terrorists in Syria
Jordan hosting terrorists and smuggling them into Syria, allowing Israel air passage to target Syrian cities.
Raqqa: A delicate operation by an SAA unit destroyed a so called ‘religious council’ in the industrial area in the city countryside. The operation resulted in scores of killed and injured terrorists.
Tens of terrorists from so called ‘Raqqa Islamist Revolutionary Brigade’ were given a one way ticket to hell by a Syrian Army unit in Kassra agricultural area.
Homs: Syrian Arab Army units advance through Wadi Sayeh neighborhood in Old Homs, a once stronghold of Al-Qaeda FSA terrorists, and takes control of most of its streets. Combing the district inch by inch for terrorsits, snipers and IEDs is slowing them, but they’re cleansing the neighborhood competently. The following report with English subtitles from Wadi Sayeh by Al-Mayadeen news channel:

200 terrorists surrendered themselves to the Syrian Army in villages near Qussayr after sending messages asking for mercy. Syrian Army units are cornering the terrorists in a non-stoppable battle, check our previous post (Syria: Syrian Army cleans al-Qusayr, Homs).

Meanwhile, a group of terrorists trying to escape confirmed death in Qussayr city in Homs countryside near Lebanese borders, found death waiting for them in Qarabiss, Qussour and on Tadmor (Palmyra) – Forqlos road when confronted by the Syrian Arab Army.

Damascus Countryside: At the Syrian – Lebanese borders, the Syrian Customs and Security forces managed to confiscate a car loaded with 258,000 Captagon hallucinating pills and arrest its passengers. The terrorists inside will find difficulties without these pills when they face reality instead of their virtual world that allows them to walk to their death like Zombies and get killed eventually, or in case they overwhelm a remote army post, they can’t now decapitate and grill the soldiers. The following report with English subtitles by Syrian based Sama TV shows the pills:

Not to forget the great achievements in Otaybah in the eastern Ghotta near Damascus International Airport, as we reported earlier: (Al-Otaybah Damascus Countryside Under SAA Control).

Der Ezzor: A Syrian Army unit eliminated groups of terrorists trying to smuggle weapons and munition to their friends near Marat village in Euphrates river. An official source quoted by Jouhina News website confirmed the destroying of the boats with the terrorists inside it intending to smuggle it to inside Der Ezzor city.

Another gathering of the terrorists in Jbeilah neighborhood near the central park was also eliminated and their mortar cannon was destroyed, while tens of terrorists were killed in a single blow by a Syrian Army unit in Rashdieh neighborhood, and destroyed their weapons and munition.

Aleppo Countryside: A rocket launcher was destroyed and groups of terrorists were eliminated in Bab & Nairab cities, from the terrorist commanders killed the following two were identified: Abdul Razzak Mitab Wasmi (sounds like from UAE) commander of ‘Abu Dujjaneh Brigade’ and Othman Al-Othman commander of ‘the two holy mosques soldiers brigade’ with large numbers of their followers.

Hama countryside: Local people’s committees discovered a depot of weapons and munition in North Fann town. Among the weapons confiscated 20 Grad missiles, thermal missiles, Israeli made weapons, a stolen tank and a stolen BMP vehicle.
Meanwhile, no updates on the two bishops kidnapped in Aleppo by Turkish fanatic Muslim Brotherhood Caliph wannabe prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan thugs. Masses in Palm Sunday by churches following the eastern calender prayed for the release of the two kidnapped bishops, and for peace and stability in the region.

After sustaining much losses, one can imagine the western countries, namely USA, UK and France push for reinventing Iraq 2.0 known as the WMDs scam and Collin Powell’s satellite images of mobile launchers, by accusing the Syrian state of using chemical weapons against itself disregarding tens of reports showing terrorists carrying out experiments with chemical and biological weapons and even threatening to poison the water sources with such.

Two great articles by Robert Fisk reporting from Syria (both "MUST READs")

Robert Fisk
Finally some honest reporting from inside Syria!  Two articles by Robert Fisk which I highly recommend to everybody:

The Syrian Army Believes They Are Winning
Syria and Sarin Gas: US Claims Have a Very Familiar Ring

I have my points of strong disagreement with Robert Fisk, in particular about Hezbollah and the Hariri family, but at least I respect him for his courage (physical and intellectual) and his integrity.

I find the first article most interesting because it fully corroborates what Russian analysts have been saying: the Syrian Army has fully recovered, it is beating back the insurgency, and its morale is excellent.

This is very, very good news, but this also means that the US/NATO/al-Qaeda coalition has only one possible card to play: a direct military intervention (Bosnia anybody?).

The suicidal American stupidity

The Right's latest invention: 'Gazans celebrated Boston bombings'

The birth and growth of an utterly baseless, extremely damaging claim. http://972mag.com/the-rights-latest-invention-gazans-celebrated-boston-bombings/69876/

See also "Netanyahu aide: Boston attack is good for Israel http://www.middleeastmonitor.com/news/middle-east/5799-netanyahu-aide-boston-attack-is-good-for-israel

If you Google “Gazans celebrate Boston Marathon bombings” or variations of that entry, you will have your reading cut out for you. Such a scene was reported by Pamela Gellar, possibly America’s best-known Muslim-basher, on her website Atlas Shrugs. The story was headlined “DANCING IN THE STREETS OF GAZA OVER BOSTON BOMBINGS,” and carried the intro, “End US aid to these savages. Now.”

Such a spectacle in Gaza was also mentioned in a column by Ruthie Blum in the English-language website of Sheldon Adelson’s Israel Hayom, this country’s most widely-circulated newspaper:

This is the same Hamas that runs Gaza, the terrorist enclave that celebrated last week’s bombings in Boston by cheering, dancing in the streets and handing out cake and candy to passersby. It was like 9/11 all over again, and the residents of Gaza were rejoicing.
Another of America’s most prominent Islamophobes, David Horowitz, carried the story on his Frontpagemag.com in a column by Ari Lieberman:

On April 16, Palestinians in Gaza cheered. They danced in the streets and handed out candy and sweets to motorists and pedestrians alike. They were not however celebrating the inauguration of a new school or the completion of a hospital. Instead, they were celebrating death. On April 16, Palestinians of Gaza celebrated the Boston marathon atrocity. While our first responders were picking up severed limbs and tending to the wounded, Palestinians reveled in Boston’s misery.

The spectacle of Gazans dancing in the street and handing out sweets after the Boston Marathon bombings was reported as well in the website of The Jewish Press, an Orthodox paper that bills itself as “America’s largest independent Jewish weekly.”

Likewise, the tale was repeated on all sorts of far-right pro-Israel/anti-Muslim blogs, on YouTube, on Twitter. By now, it is no doubt an article of faith among this crowd that Gaza was jubilant over the massacre in Boston.

Where did they get this idea? From going through the links posted, the origin was a story written on the day of the bombing by Israel News Agency, a right-wing pro-Israel website run by Joel Leyden, a long-time New York Jewish immigrant to Israel who describes himself on the site as a “journalist, media consultant, social media and SEO [search engine optimization] pioneer working with both the Israel Defense Forces and the US Army in Haiti.”

Datelined Jerusalem, the story is headlined “Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah Celebrate Boston Terror Attack.” It shows a photo of a boy handing out pastries to a smiling man in a car. The photographer isn’t identified, and the caption is somewhat less than precise and verifiable, though it does at least acknowledge that the photo was NOT taken after the Marathon bombing. It reads: “The above photo was taken after a recent terror attack.”

Everything the story has to say about the reaction in Gaza is contained in the opening sentence, which leads a long story about the bombings:

Shortly after terror bombs exploded and murdered at least three people at the Boston Marathon, members of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah were reported to be dancing in the streets of Gaza, handing out candies to passerbys.

The story says the celebrations “were reported.” By whom? It doesn’t say. No news agency with journalists in Gaza reported such sights and sounds, and since Israelis aren’t allowed into the Strip, I was interested to know where Leyden (whom I met 25 years ago, and who is a Facebook friend of mine) got this information. I asked him on FB, and he wrote back that he got it from “security sources.” Whatever.

So until further notice, it appears that the words “were reported” constitute the complete body of evidence that Palestinians in Gaza celebrated the Boston Marathon bombing, as first “reported” by Israel News Agency and circulated as fact by Pamela Gellar, Israel Hayom, David Horowitz’s website and many, many other pro-Israel/anti-Muslim mass media.
Not that it will matter, though; the great crowds of people who want to believe this story will keep on repeating it.

Dr. Ashraf Al-Bayoumi: On Syria Crisis and Nato Propaganda

America's Addiction: Waging War on Humanity

by Stephen Lendman

America's business is war. Permanent wars reflect official US policy. They're glorified in the name of peace.

One nation after another is ravaged. Former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel called it being "cold-blooded about the self-interests of your nation."

Obama's the latest US warrior president. Imperial lawlessness defines his agenda. Out-of-control militarism rages. Humanity's survival is threatened.

Syria is Obama's war. Direct intervention looms. Claims about Syria using chemical weapons don't wash. Syrian officials categorically deny them.

On April 27, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) headlined "Information Minister: Western Sides Are Directly Responsible for Chemical Weapons Use in Khan al-Assal," saying:

Omran al-Zoubi said chemical weapons likely came from Turkey. "The US-British and Western allegations in general on this issue do not have any credibility."

A missile targeting Khan al-Assal came from a terrorist-controlled location. Syria requested an investigation. According to SANA:

"Al-Zoubi held the Western sides directly responsible for what happened in Khan al-Assal, saying they want now to hide behind this 'fabricated and false' talk to justify their silence on failing the investigation mission requested by Syria and to exonerate the terrorists."

"The Minister added that the US is already involved in large-scale terrorist operations in the world, and is involved in Syria now because of its support for and silence on the terrorism committed by the terrorist groups."

The road to Tehran runs through Damascus. Waging full-scale war on Syria looms. It appears prelude to targeting Iran. Spurious Iranian threats continue.

Connect the dots. Post-Boston bombings, expect Obama to take full advantage. Media scoundrels regurgitate official lies. Doing so facilitates America's war agenda.

Independent nations aren't tolerated. Washington demands pro-Western ones. Outliers are targeted for regime change. War is America's option of choice if other methods fail. Syria may be prelude to Iran.

On April 25, the Jerusalem Post headlined " 'Red lines' at the 'Post' conference," saying:

"Red lines" dominate today's headlines. Israel and Washington repeat them. In late February, former Israeli intelligence head Amos  Yadlin's New York Times op-ed headlined "Israel's Last Chance to Strike Iran," saying:

"Today, Israel sees the prospect of a nuclear Iran that calls for our annihilation as an existential threat."

Iran, of course, threatens no one. It hasn't attacked another nation in over two centuries.

"An Israeli strike against Iran would be a last resort, if all else failed to persuade Iran to abandon its nuclear weapons program," Yadlin added.

Now he's warning that Israel's on "a collision course (with Iran) by the end of the year."

He'll speak at the Jerusalem Post's second annual conference. It's theme is "Fighting for the Zionist Dream." It's scheduled for April 28 in New York.

Two panels will discuss Syrian and Iranian red lines. Yadlin will participate along with former and current key Israeli officials.

Yadlin heads Israel's Institute for National Security Studies. He spoke at its recent Tel Aviv conference. He claims Iran may cross Netanyahu's red line by summer.

If uranium enrichment continues "at its current rate, toward the end of the year (Tehran) will cross the red line in a clear manner," he claimed.

Earlier he said, "Despite all of the attempts made to stop the nuclear program, no one is able to stop the Islamic Republic's nuclear program."

"By summer, Iran will be a month or two away from a decision about the bomb," he added. He claims Tehran has enough low-enriched uranium for six bombs.

"They have no problem converting back what they allegedly turned to nuclear fuel. Within a week, it could be turned into nuclear material for a bomb," he said.

He urged military action. America's credibility is on the line, he stressed. "This credibility will be achieved if the US aims a precise strike to stop the Iranian nuclear program and shows that it can deal with the escalation that would follow this strike."

He's not alone. Jerusalem Post deputy managing editor Caroline Glick headlined "Time to confront Obama," saying:

Iran "crossed the threshold. Iran will be a nuclear power unless its uranium enrichment installations and other nuclear sites are destroyed or crippled. Now."

"Iran has threatened to use it nuclear arsenal to destroy Israel."

"(E)ither Israel must launch an attack without delay, or if we can’t, then Netanyahu has to publicly state that the time for diplomacy is over. Either Iran is attacked or it gets the bomb."

It bears repeating. Iran threatens no one. No evidence suggests an Iranian nuclear weapons program. Annually, US intelligence says so. Israeli, American, and other Western officials know what they won't admit publicly.

Claiming an Iranian nuclear threat is red herring cover for regime change. It's longstanding US/Israeli policy. Don't expect media scoundrels to explain.

On April 26, Mossad-connected DEBKAfile (DF) headlined "Obama's non-response to Assad's chemical weapons would encourage a nuclear Iran," saying:

"The US intelligence community and the White House have now produced evidence that Assad has used chemical weapons against his own people and so crossed the red line Obama has repeatedly and publicly laid down for a US response."

"….those red lines would be discounted as meaningless by the world, the Middle East and Israel most of all, if he holds back now."

"Assad will not stop using lethal chemicals against his people."

"Tehran and Pyongyang will take US inaction on the Syrian chemical issue as a license to go forward and develop their nuclear and other sophisticated weapons without fear of forceful interference."

Claiming Syria used chemical weapons doesn't wash. Accusations persist anyway.

DF claims Assad plans to send Hezbollah chemical weapons and "other advanced war material." On Thursday, Israeli warplanes "shot down opposite Haifa a drone Hizballah had sent winging toward Israel…."

Without elaboration, Lebanon's al-Manar television said:

"Hezbollah denies sending any unmanned drone towards occupied Palestine."

Israel's Deputy Defense Minister, Danny Danon said:

"We're talking about another attempt by Hezbollah to send an unmanned drone into Israeli territory." He called it "another attempt to destabilize the Middle East."

Netanyahu said:

"I see this attempt to breach our borders as extremely grave. We will continue to do whatever we must to protect the security of Israel's citizens."

On April 26, Haaretz's military correspondent Amos Harel headlined "Iran likely behind drone that Israel intercepted opposite Haifa coast," saying:

Netanyahu stopped short of blaming Hezbollah. According to Harel, "it seems those responsible for the launching of the drone were the Iranian Revolutionary Guards in Lebanon."

"(I)t seems that Iran wished to openly demonstrate its potential ability to damage essential facilities in Israel, in a time when they are feeling the pressure of international sanctions surrounding their nuclear program, and when international cooperation is being considered in a move against its ally in Syria, Bashar Assad."

Harel left perhaps what's most important unaddressed. Washington appears headed for full-scale war on Syria. Iran's repeatedly threatened.

Why would it stage a provocative act? It's avoided doing so before. Why would it give America and Israel cause to retaliate? What could it hope to gain? Sound policy dictates lowering tensions, not escalating them. Harel didn't explain.

On March 15, Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP) contributors Olli Heinonen and Simon Henderson headlined "Iran's Nuclear Clock and World Diplomacy."

Heinonen's a former IAEA deputy director-general. Henderson directs the Washington Institute's Gulf and Energy Policy Program. WINEP is a pro-Israeli front group.

"Israel sees itself as a likely target of an Iranian nuclear weapon," they said.

"The latest report on Iran by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) raised a series of red flags."

"These included the news of a substantial increase in the number of centrifuges Iran uses to enrich uranium, as well as the introduction of a new type of centrifuge that is likely to enrich uranium more quickly and in larger quantities."

"Additionally, work is progressing on a heavy-water reactor capable of producing plutonium, an alternative nuclear explosive material."

Pyongyang has close ties to Iran, they said. Perhaps they share data, they added.

Years earlier, Iran's nuclear program was less advanced. Enrichment was small-scale. Only one partially constructed enrichment facility operated.

Natanz and Fordow are now fully operational. Arak's heavy-water reactor will begin operating in 2014.

"Iran could have enough nuclear explosive material for its first atomic bomb before Washington ever received the international backing it would want before taking action to - in the words of current US policy - "prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon."

The Middle East's curse is oil. Syria's very much on the boil. Attacking Iran is madness. Doing so risks global war. Top priority is preventing what's too catastrophic to risk.
